I am on a mission to empower independent artists to grow profitable businesses around their music.Digital Marketing was never something I set out to do.But I fell in love with it the moment I discovered it.Over the last 10+ years, I have cultivated a knowledge and skillset in the digital marketing space around my career as a performer in theatre, theme parks and cruise ships. It was a side-hustle the was always quietly running in the background around my gigs until the pandemic hit in 2020 and decimated the cruise industry. With $30,000 in income for that year gone when my upcoming contract (pardon the pun,) was “sunk”, I pivoted immediately and reached out to the owner of a software company I had worked for as a freelance digital marketer for several years and went to work for them full-time (and 100% remotely) for the next 2 years.I was one of a team of 3-5 in the marketing department and worked very closely with the Director of Marketing in the design and implementation of sales and conversion funnels, seasonal promotions and ongoing social media content production schedule. I served on the company’s leadership team for a time. I curated the company’s weekly newsletter and even briefly managed the 2,000+ member private Facebook community. During my time there, the company’s YouTube channel grew from 36 to over 1,000 subscribers without spending a dime in ads. The company is a small startup that invests heavily in the education and professional development of their team, and between the certifications I completed during that time in the digital marketing space and the real-world experience I had working to grow the company’s brand and serve their community through value-driven content, I feel as though I’ve all but received an MBA.What’s more, because of my background as a performer, artist and songwriter, I found myself constantly thinking with every new skill I learned; “How can I apply this to music?”I now serve the independent artist community in Nashville helping a small roster of clients to create and implement systems for regular content production, campaigns to promote their latest releases, and growing and monetizing their fan communities through organic and paid strategies.Interested in working together?
