My role as a nanny evolved as the children I cared for grew older. When I started, the youngest was only 4 months old and the oldest was in preschool, where I drove and picked them up almost every single day. I filled the hours we had together with as many dynamic and stimulating activities as possible, including parks, libraries, the zoo, museums, cooking, art projects, and lots of walks. I made the children healthy, balanced meals, and helped with bathroom needs, diapering, and nap time. Safety is always my number one priority, but when the bumps and bruises of childhood inevitably came along, my first aid training from my teaching years came in handy. Most of all, I worked to develop positive, fun, and trusting relationships with the children I cared for.

In this job I have performed nightly tasks, including bar setup, making mixed drinks and craft cocktails, dishes and general cleaning of the facility, making popcorn, checking guests in for film and event tickets, and serving customers both through and automated QR system and in person at the bar. I learned a lot about making good cocktails and quality ingredients that make them taste superior. I worked busy karaoke nights as well as more tranquil film viewing nights, both indoors and outdoors.
