Oversee English Language Training program; recruit, train, supervise volunteer administrator and teachers. One of eight fellows in selective national fellowship who acted as community mobilizer to engage over 3,000 members of student groups, NGOS, faith based organizations and volunteers in UNICEF’s education, advocacy and fundraising programs. Successfully organized 5 local events and executed 30 presentations at 17 community organizations for U.S. Fund for UNICEF campaigns including Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF, the UNICEF Tap Project and the End Trafficking project. Recruited volunteers, facilitated volunteer trainings and increased regional volunteer base by 600%.

Dominican Republic

Developed and managed health initiatives in four rural Dominican communities through:Training and Education: Taught and facilitated five reproductive health and nutrition courses, certifying over 50 women. Designed health promotion curriculum and trained community health promoters over year-long initiative. Implemented Sex-Ed/HIV health program educating 45 local high school students and training 10 youth health promoters. Infrastructure development: Organized and managed construction of an aqueduct providing water for 38 community homes, installed 80 home bio-sand water filters, built 75 ecologically improved household cook stoves. Wrote nine grants generating $13,000 for community health initiatives, including USAID and PEPFAR grant funds for educational and infrastructure projects.
