As a member of the Program Evaluation Group team I engage with the community to provide professional evaluation services grounded in the values of equity and social justice. PEG uses a utilization-focused approach to evaluation, highlighting the need for partner engagement throughout the evaluation process. In my role as Assistant Research Scientist I serve as principal investigator on selected PEG projects, coordinate with PEG leadership to develop and support the capacity of PEG team members, assist with managing the intake, storage, and analysis of project data, and mentor PEG staff and community members on proper procedure and best practices in social science research and evaluation.

• Designed two survey studies informing the development of suicide prevention programs for rural and veteran Missourians leading to obtaining $263k from the Missouri Foundation for Health• Led & conducted survey data analysis for 2 projects in partnership with the Missouri Foundation for Health to meet their research needs • Managed a team of 4 people to ensure timelines and deliverables are met for 2 projects• Conducted 10+ interviews with community residents to evaluate the effectiveness of community interventions • Analyzed quantitative data from a national survey of parents & teens to evaluate the effectiveness of current firearm safety practices within schools• Wrote manuscripts for academic publication and technical reports to increase knowledge of firearm injury prevention

Engaged and led community-based research for a variety of non-profit organizations and organizational collaboratives as part of the Engagement, Power, and Social Action research team.
