I have led transformation and profitable growth in businesses across automotive, aerospace, construction and electro-mechanical equipment industries. Most of my career has been spent in change environments, and I’m hugely motivated by the opportunity to deliver significantly improved business performance and outcomes for shareholders. I’ve been fortunate to work with some highly talented people, and take a collaborative approach that brings in team members from different functions, geographical locations and cultures. Equally comfortable in the boardroom as on the shop floor, I listen as well as share information throughout the business. Giving employees proper channels through which they can raise issues, be heard, and contribute is incredibly important and I have introduced ways that this happens as part of a natural dialogue and broader team involvement. I’ve worked with corporate financiers, lawyers and banks as part of the prospective and delivered deals I have achieved, and built trust and understanding with deal contenders and partners. I’m experienced from deal origination through to successful execution, so able to use external professional advisors effectively, and with full understanding of their input.Loyalty, hard work and transparency are extremely important to me, and I really enjoy the opportunity to help others to achieve their goals and potential. Outside work I’m really keen on sport, and coach both boys and girls juniors in local football teams. I’ve traveled extensively as part of my career and in my personal life, and value the insight and perspectives these experiences have given me.
