Oversaw the major gift development program as well as community outreach and partnerships for the Michael D. Eisner College of Education, the largest of the 23 California State University (CSU) campuses, known for championing diversity, first-generation college attendance, and underserved minorities. Working closely with the Dean, faculty, and volunteer leadership I managed a portfolio of individuals, private foundations, and corporations giving in support of academic and research programs, scholarships, faculty development, and capital initiatives in the Departments of Elementary Education, Secondary Education, Special Education, Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, Educational Psychology and Counseling, and Deaf Studies as well as six chartered centers. These centers included: Strength United, Mitchell Family Counseling Clinic, Family Focus Center, DEAF Project, LA Times Literacy Clinic, and the Berke Family Assessment Clinic.

Developed the organizational strategies to increase philanthropic support from alumni and individual donors through major and planned gifts. Oversaw all communications with our 700,000 alumni, which included direct outreach, writing, editing, and coordinating all publications, both online and print, supporting the Alumni Association Working Group, and executing both on and off campus events. Additionally I managed the Foundation website and our social media content. Achievements: The communication and outreach plan I implemented directly led to a 60% increase in individual donations. I also created and expanded the the LACC Foundation Planned Giving Society.

Implemented the day-to-day strategic plan of the campaign by tracking and managing prospect moves management, creating and analyzing campaign reports and financial data, overseeing the allocation of campaign contributions, providing excellent stewardship to all donors and helping to create organizational processes. About CII's new project:In its new 5-year business plan, developed with the help of The Bridgespan Group, CII has committed to replicating its service model in Watts, anchored by a state-of-the-art new facility. Building on the successful development of CII’s recently opened Otis Booth Campus near downtown Los Angeles—a 48,000 square foot, $22 million, LEED-Silver facility that has won several architectural awards—the new CII Watts Campus will enable CII to fully implement its model of comprehensive, community-based services in one of the most underserved communities in Los Angeles.When complete, the CII Watts Campus will serve 5,000 children, youth, and families per year, helping children recover from trauma or other adverse experiences; develop the resiliency to deal with past, present, and future adversity; and become ready for success in school, work, and life. The new campus will be a transformative project in the lives of children and their families in Watts.

-Received a grant from the U.S. State Department to implement an 8 month civic education program for 31 girls, ages 15-18, from 15 different municipalities in Moldova and Transnistria to provide knowledge and skills training for leadership and empowerment -Created and maintain the F.E.T.E. website and Facebook page

As a Community and Organizational Development Peace Corps Volunteer in the Republic of Moldova my job was to train a variety of organizations on best business practices. I worked with organizations to develop their strategic plans, bylaws, employee handbooks, and navigating the field of fundraising in a newly formed democratic government. I was also elected, by my peers, to represent my group of 65 volunteers at U.S. Peace Corps Moldova senior meetings.The organization I worked the most with was VITA Deaf and Blind. VITA is a non-profit that was created to support the rights of children born with multiple disabilities. Through fundraising efforts and government outreach, we were able to establish the first-ever sensory room for children born with disabilities in state-run elementary school. This meant that for the first time, the Moldovan government recognized the educational rights of these children.
