Leigh is an unrelenting advocate of personal growth and leadership. She is a creator, educator, mentor, business person and speaker. Leigh runs a portfolio of projects that align with her values of integrity, independence, transparency and fiscal responsibility.Leigh currently leads an apolitical online community, Progressive Liberty. They exemplify independent thinking, fiscal responsibility and lack of adherence to any political ideology. Leigh lives in the innovation ecosystem at Cal Berkeley. She created the leadership Strategy Council for Cal’s premier accelerator, SkyDeck, that she cofounded a decade ago and for which she is a global speaker. Leigh cofounded the Global Alliance Council of Seoul’s HanYang University to help HYU become significant in Seoul’s innovation ecosystem.Leigh founded World Mentor and Mentored Pathways, which since 1995 have mentored over 50k students working one-on-one online with professionals. During COVID-19, they added student-centric projects, so now programs are run with teachers or with individuals to ramp personal growth. Leigh is cofounder and co-owner of Mt Beautiful Wines and Teece Family Farms in New Zealand. 20 years ago, Leigh fell in love with the beauty, quality of life and cultural civility of NZ. She and her family grew Mt. Beautiful from a sheep farm to its current operations; they produce 30k+ cases of 7 varietals and sell in 40 states and 5 countries. Leigh thereby advocates for innovation in education; she tenaciously bridges gaps between these institutions and government.Leigh is on the Board of Berkeley's Cal Performances. She is on Advisory Boards of Kravis Leadership Institute-Claremont McKenna College, Global Citizen Year, KiwiLeadershipUSA, and on the Executive Board of How Women Lead.Prior to raising four children, Leigh was Research Assistant at the High/Scope Educational Research Foundation, cofounder of Technology Interlink and VP of Wells Fargo & Co.Leigh has an MBA from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business. In 2018, Leigh acquired Columbia University School of Business' Certificate in Executive Education. Leigh holds a BA in International Relations from the University of Southern California.
