Led strategy, mission, and operations for a much-beloved, longstanding Washington, DC community institution committed to meaningful belonging and radical hospitality: a nonprofit social enterprise with a café, bookstore, community event space, and multiple social service/community programs. --Retooled organizational strategy and intended impact to reflect our focus and values, and crafted substantial new mission-related programming. Grew free-meal program by a factor of 20 between 2019 and 2021, expanded to include additional wraparound services for guests in need, and oversaw the development of a robust food-rescue partnership. Launched new workforce training and book-related programs in partnership with other organizations in the region.--Guided stakeholders inside and outside The Potter’s House through major organizational and environmental changes, all while retaining high-performing staff and preserving external relationships. --Strengthened reach and market position by expanding partnerships across sectors, cultivating new funders and clients, publishing, and speaking. --Responsible for finance, fundraising, procurement, facility, program and personnel management across the organization. Designed and implemented complex logistical processes. Established numerous new internal systems and controls to strengthen organizational infrastructure and position The Potter's House for future growth. --Sustained the organization throughout the pandemic, including securing a half-million dollars of new private and public funding, completely retooling operations and the physical space, restoring earned revenue while streamlining costs, and launching a brand-new online sales presence -- all while keeping staff and guests safe.

Managed a team of 12 and a $2 million budget. --Oversaw a comprehensive organizational rebrand that ran without a hitch and created unprecedented visibility, brand awareness, and goodwill among our key audiences. --Reconfigured our entire approach to working with the field, resulting in exponential growth of our national networks in both size and engagement.--Provided design, oversight, thought leadership, and functional direction for Prosperity Now’s progress against its strategic plan. --Designed and launched pioneering savings programs for low- and moderate-income children and adults across the country; worked to make financial wellness easier by bringing savings and financial capability services directly to the people who need them.--Developed and managed large national and regional projects, including program and policy design, financial product design, and building capacity and reach of organizations on the ground. --Managed a team of five and a departmental annual budget of $2.8 million, including federal contracts, consulting engagements, and philanthropic grants. Secured and successfully executed multiple groundbreaking federal contracts that resulted in heightened awareness of Prosperity Now’s work, setting the stage for many other opportunities. Worked with a diverse group of community partners in a large national experiment to develop, test, and advance matched savings accounts and financial education for children and youth.

--Developed policy, revenue, and investment recommendations for governor-appointed statewide Affordable Housing and Community Development Fund, ultimately resulting in a permanent revenue stream for the Fund.--Staffed the Committee and produced its report to the legislature and administration.--Launched and led the Indiana Campaign for Affordable Housing, a multi-sector collaborative initiative; managed strategy, messaging, outreach, and communications.--Secured federal grants and private and philanthropic contributions to support existing state programs and new initiatives.
