I never quite know what to say in a short bio, so I thought that instead, I'd give 10 facts about me.1. I received my degree in Communications and while I was watching the movie “Arrival”, I literally jumped out of my seat when I realized that my favorite communications theory is the main plot device.2. I have a rather non-traditional story in how I received my degree. I’d love to tell you about it, for now, spoilers: I was in school full time and working full time and managed to get 4 years of school crammed into 3 years. It was a ton of work, far from easy, but entirely worth every late night and early morning. I love learning and I love growing.3. I previously worked as an ecommerce merchandiser and worked closely with our marketing department, which inspired me to change directions professionally. I received my degree, a certificate in digital marketing and managed to work my way into a marketing role.4. I am a natural critical thinker. If I see an issue or an inefficiency or wasted dollar my natural inclination is to figure out how to correct the issue. I love bringing a sense of creativity to whatever I do and leaving things better than I found them.5. I love people, I love being part of a team, and I love being able to bring the best out of those around me. I believe that a leader should be the loudest cheerleader for their people and provide everything they can to help their team succeed. I am very fortunate to have had multiple managers who were my role models in this.6. I love to travel, but I hate touristy things. My dream is to explore someplace with a local who can help me see and understand their culture and not just take me to a big flashy thing designed to eat my money.7. My family is incredibly important to me, and I love spending time with them. My wife is my best friend and my daughter is the cutest kid that has ever lived in the history of human kind.8. I love to cook, and one of my favorite things is to cook for my friends and family. I dream of putting on a friendsgiving feast.9. I have led multiple groups including being the team lead for the ecommerce operations team that I was previously on.10. I’m a fast learner and am able to pick up anything very quickly. In my professional career I’ve had to learn 4 different ERP systems, 4 ecommerce platforms and multiple other systems. I may not have experience with the exact system you’re using, but give me 2 weeks and I’ll understand it, give me 6 months and I’ll be a guru (or close to it).Bonus fact: My favorite cereal is Cocoa Pebbles and I will eat it any time of day.
