About Leila Harrison, Phd, Ma, Med

I have a great passion for helping others fulfill their career goals and have been fortunate to spend my own career doing so. I have worked in medical education for 19 years across two medical schools in Texas and and a new one in Washington state. I have worked with countless applicants applying to medical school as well as worked for eight years providing an intense summer experience for college students interested in medicine. Mentoring is an important aspect within most careers and serving in that role has been a great reward for me. In addition to medical school admissions, I have worked in diversity and inclusion, and now student affairs. I have also been involved in teaching medical students in medical humanities, cultural humility, and leadership.
