As a consultant engineer, I evaluate risks to ascertain loss exposure at FM Global and AFM insured client locations across numerous occupancies. I then quantify that risk and guide the client on how to protect against property losses and business interruption due to exposures. All data collected when visiting client sites also informs the account team on how to proceed with underwriting and further supporting the client.

As a Consultant Engineer Intern I gained valuable experience and training in commercial property insurance and risk consulting. I created internally distributed educational material about the risk of flood and common mitigation strategies, and I updated our online client project tracking system. In addition to learning about the company as a whole, I engaged with many engineers individually and learned how to best serve our clients by trailing engineers on many field visits.

I cared for ~25 residents suffering from or exposed to COVID-19, helping with their activities of daily living and following necessary protocols to try to limit exposure.
