Originally developed for Climate-KIC Accelerator start-ups, Masterclasses are two-day courses given by experts from around the globe.

- Developing and implementing an effective education strategy for Climate-KIC’s Benelux Geography covering graduate, executive and business strands; - Managing the Benelux Education in-house and consulting staff, - Overseeing and directing financial process and budgeting, as well as procurement;- Developing the educational provision for one of Climate-KIC’s priority themes; and - Contributing to the work of Climate-KIC Education’s management groups. This included regular international travel for management meetings. I covered this position in addition to my regular duties as Masterclass Lead while a suitable replacement was found.

As Education Manager, I'm responsible for two ongoing programs: Masterclasses and Pioneers Benelux. Climate-KIC's two-day masterclasses are dedicated to developing the skills you need to set up your business: from business model generation, building teams, to negotiating and closing sales deals. The guest speakers are experienced entrepreneurs with an outstanding track record and teaching skills. Each Masterclass takes place in a different European city.Previous Masterclasses have been hosted by experts such as Joe Lassiter, Tarun Khanna, Ken Morse, Jordi Montserrat, Bill Aulet, John Mullins and Ingemar Dierickx. With an average of only 35 places per Masterclass, participants can expect an intense learning experience with great networking opportunities. Pioneers is Europe's leading professional development exchange programme for experienced professionals across sustainability related fields. A dynamic programme aimed at broadening horizons, breaking boundaries and taking participants outside of their comfort zones. The highlight is one four-to-six week placement on leading low-carbon projects with host organisations that are engaged in climate change awareness and sustainability in one of our European partner regions. E-learning complements tailored workshops, to complete a blended learning package. The group assignment pools the expertise of several professionals to tackle a local, tangible issue.
