    Leisa Rich is an experimental artist working in fibers and mixed media. Rich holds MFA and BFA degrees in Fiber and a BEd Art degree, exhibits internationally, is featured in many books, publications, and on-line features, and has works in public and private collections including Delta Inc., Alpharetta Hilton Hotel, Emory Medical, Dallas Museum of Art, and the Kamm Foundation. Rich writes for mags and on-line publications, published her first children’s book in 2015, and recently published a series of how-to magazines on Fosshape, available at blurb.com. She is the recipient of a Fulton County Arts and Culture Hambidge Distinguished Fellowship (state of Georgia, USA). Leisa Rich has been an art educator for 45 years, through private art classes and workshops, as well as in art schools, universities, colleges, and many other arts programs.     Leisa Rich is an artist making conceptual 2D, 3D, sculptures and installations. The techniques of 3D printing, as well as free motion stitching -- otherwise known as machine embroidery, a way of "painting" and building texture with sewing thread -- are her favored methods. Leisa also dyes, paints, burns, melts, hand embroiders, casts, builds and assembles, and is a perpetual experimenter.Rich has MFA, BFA and B of Education in Art degrees, and has been teaching for over 42 years in schools, arts centers and universities across the U.S., Canada, and in her studio. Her work is published in numerous books, magazines, on line, and in televised interviews such as PBS' InContext. She has also written reviews and articles and created videos for art organizations, magazines and zines. She has art works in the permanent collections of Delta Airlines, Inc., Hilton Atlanta, Emory Healthcare, The Kamm Foundation, The Dallas Museum of Art, The University of Texas, and The University of North Texas, and in many private collections in the U.S. and Canada.
