This intra-operative injectable product is bought and billed exclusively through hospitals and ASCs and used in cataract surgery. Knowledge of the P&T process as well as clinical evaluations from surgeons in the OR required. The role requires high level knowledge in the following areas:Cataract intra-operative processes, surgical complications, clinical selling, CMS insurance and billing, commercial plans and managed Medicare, reimbursement and contract limitations, surgery scheduling protocol, OR protocol and how to integrate a new product, the ability to customize approach and implementation in each facility, educate the staff responsible for each stage of Omidria processing. Southeast Trainer position responsibilities include: *Trainer position for new hires in the Southeast and follow-up trainer for all SE region reps.*Developing a new hire schedule, check lists, and a revision of training material.Specialty Surgical Sales and Consultation includes:*communicating published outcomes and working with Medical Liaisons. * knowledge of hospital formulary addition- P&T boards and MEC panels. *observing surgeries and trialing in OR.*intraoperative consulting.*in-servicing staff, educating administration, and establishing protocol procedures.*educating billing and scheduling staff on CMS Pass Through reimbursement and commercial insurance. *solving issues with denied claims.*Independently managing several accounts to insure regular growth of territory.Call points: cataract surgeons, ASCs, hospitals, hospital Pharmacies, scheduling staff, billing, administrators, and C level executives.
