The Greenbelt Council is a government advisory agency, which provides advice on the Greenbelt to the Minister of Municipal Affairs. The council also provides advice on the implementation of the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe and the Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan. The success of the Greenbelt Plan is dependent upon the successful implementation of these and other provincial land use planning initiatives.
