Lejla Pasalic is a Program Coordinator at Virginia Sam Transition House program of OCS. She has 20 years of experience working with target populations of woman and children who were exposed and or experienced violence, refugees and families staying in high barrier homeless shelter.Lejla volunteered for RedCross,Amnesty International and Elizabeth FrySociety.Lejla has worked in transition houses since 2003 at both sites ,was occupying different positions and was involved in many important quality improvement processes.She was a BCGEU union shop steward for 7 years at OCS.As a coordinator Lejla continues to focus on quality improvement and staff centred approach.Lejla has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Simon Fraser University ,British Columbia, with major in Psychology and minor in biological sciences.
