I am an English language tutor with over 9 years experience teaching students and working professionals. My focal areas range from teaching English for educational purposes to business and social English. I love working with learners who have clear goals and a drive to achieve their set objectives.I am a Microsoft Innovative Educator and a certified TEFL instructor, currently working on obtaining the CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certification from the CIE (Cambridge International Examination). I hold a Bachelor's degree from the Obafemi Awolowo University, and a Master's in Literature from the prestigious, premier University of Ibadan, Nigeria. My postgraduate thesis considered the fascinating interdisciplinary nexus between the field of Literature and medical practice, by appreciating how physician writers reflect bio-ethical issues in their narratives while creatively experimenting with new genres.I have worked, full-time, with notable international schools within Nigeria, teaching English language and Literature in English across Cambridge international examinations such as the International General Certificate Secondary Examination (IGCSE) and the Advanced Subsidiary and Advanced Levels (AS&A' Levels), with keen emphasis on improving learners' reading, writing and analytical skills.As a freelancer, I conduct private sessions for different nationalities ranging from Asians to Francophone speaking scientists, businessmen and women, as well as teenagers, who desire to improve on their communicative skills in English, either for research, business or social purposes.
