I am a PhD graduate, further exploring the world of "stem cell niche in cancer" at KaviKrishna Laboratory. I have recently defended my PhD work on understanding the stem cell niche defense mechanism in TB and cancer recurrence from IIT Guwahati. I work on understanding the role of stem cell niche defence in Tuberculosis (TB) and cancer dormancy to relapse. I am also managing my lab in administrative level as a Chief Operating Officer. Under the guidance of Dr. Bikul Das with an energetic research team we are building a novel academic research idea in the field of biomedical science i.e. Stem Cell Altruism to fight against diseases like cancer and TB. Stem Cell Altruism, an idea derived from Vedic Philosophy of Avatarvada which defines that during stress, a few population of stem cells sacrifice their own fitness to enhance their group fitness and thus, protect their niche
