In Vietnam, The Japan Foundation is actively strengthening the friendship and ties with Vietnam and other SEA countries through meaning programs in Japanese-language Education, Arts & Cultural Exchange and Research & Intellectual Exchange in Japan studies.The 2 programs I was working on are "JF Kouza", which organizes Japanese language and culture classes for the public and the local teachers in the region, at the same time develops and promotes the new method of learning Japanese, and "Nihongo Partners", which sends native Japanese volunteers to educational institutions to support local Japanese teachers and their students by providing in-class assistance and introducing Japanese culture.In the position of Assistant Program Officer of this program, I was proudly in charge of:- Coordinated Japanese volunteers into Vietnamese public schools throughout the country to enrich the learning experience of the students .- Organized and ensured the experience of participants at regular cultural workshops and language classes, from registration to following-up.- Ensured the workflows between the organization and other governmental authorities, schools, suppliers of services, facilities & equipments.- Kept track of the borrowings & returnings of the learning material storage, which provides teaching materials in Japanese for teachers all over Vietnam.Besides, I was honored to be one of the editors for the "Nihongo-jin Oi" monthly newsletter (for Japanese speakers), "Sensei Oi" monthly newsletter (for Japanese teachers), and to be the translator-editor and coordinator of the publishing agreement for the Japanese-language textbook "Marugoto: Japanese Language and Culture" (the first two levels). I was also serving as the MC for the annual Japanese Festival twice.and MC for the annual Japanese Festival for three times. -
