As an aspiring radiographer, my journey began in 2015 when I enrolled in the Sankers Institute of Paramedical Sciences to pursue a diploma in radiology. Over the course of two years, until 2017, I immersed myself in this program, gain invaluable skills in patient care and diagnostic imaging procedures. I developed a strong focus on delivering exceptional patient care while performing a wide range of imaging procedures.During my training period at Government Medical College Trivandrum from July 12, 2018, to November 30, 2019, I had the opportunity to work with a variety of modalities and machines. This training allowed me to gain hands-on experience with advanced equipment and technologies used in the field of radiology. I trained with DR-GE Definium 6000, Carestream, Kodak, CR-Siemens, Allengers, and Fuji projects for digital radiography, which helped me develop expertise in this area. Additionally, I gained experience in computed tomography (CT) with machines such as Siemens Somatom Definition AS (128 Slice), Siemens Somatom Spirit (2 Slice), Philips imx-16 Slice, and GE (128 Slice). I also received training in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) with the Siemens Magnetom Avanto 1.5T and mammography with machines such as Mammomate and GE Senographe Crystal Nova.After completing my training, I joined Medical College Alappuzha as a radiographer from December 13, 2019, to December 17, 2021. During this period, I handled various modalities and machines, including Meditronics 500 mA, Allengers 500 mA, and DR-Carestream 1000 mA DRX Evolution. Here, I continued to excel in patient care by performing X-ray imaging as per physicians' orders, interpreting patient data and history, and providing recommendations for optimal patient care. I also mastered the use of radiology/hospital information systems, including PACS, for scheduling and registration purposes.Following my tenure at Medical College Alappuzha, I joined General Hospital Alappuzha as a radiographer from June 1, 2022, to November 5, 2022. During this period, I handled the Allengers 300mA machine, further enhancing my expertise in conducting imaging procedures.In the realm of computed tomography (CT), I have developed specialized skills in handling various cases. I have performed numerous CT scans, including long cases such as cervical spine (c-spine), lumbar spine (l-spine), thoracic spine (t-spine), pelvis, femur, knee joint, tibia, fibula, ankle, and foot. Additionally, I have conducted contrast cases and plain cases involving the abdomen and chest, as well as 3D cases for detailed imaging.
