For a year and a half, I was the Policy Advisor for the Austin City Council District 6 office. In this role, I was responsible for managing the council agenda by conducting research on individual items, meeting with stakeholders and lobbyists, and negotiating with other council members and their office staff. I wrote resolutions while obtaining co-sponsors. I contributed to media talking points and attended off-site events with other elected officials and other dignitaries. I also wrote and organized on and off-site proclamations as well. My policy areas of focus included tourism, economic development, mixed-use development, transportation, and infrastructure.In my role with Accenture with the Facebook contract, I managed multi-tiered case work as it relates to the client, vendors, contracts, and purchase orders in order to authorize and remit high-dollar payment. In addition to my day-to-day duties, I was responsible for taking meeting minutes for the daily meetings. I also organized all outside work functions where I negotiated rates and final pricing with event vendors. I was responsible for training new teams overseas virtually. My duties included meeting training deadlines and conducting all the QA audits for those teams.I have gained and retained my organizational skills, etiquette, and multi-tasking skills from my 9 years of hotel and event management experiences. I have experience in the front office, event management, revenue management, travel, and room inventory management as well. Those 9 years were spent in full-service and luxury hotels, where for 5 years in a row, I received a perfect QA score which was conducted at least twice a year at random. I always take pride in my service and delivery skills while leading by example for the rest of my team.I have worked for 5 global conferences with various professional organizations, each ranging from 1000 to 3500 attendees. One was in Vienna Austria, two were in Las Vegas at the Aria, and two more were at Walt Disney World in Orlando FL. I have also coordinated several events at Walt Disney World outside of the aforementioned global conferences. I have coordinated large events at conference hotels in cities such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Washington DC to name a few. I worked Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis and coordinated one of the large VIP parties that weekend. I managed many aspects of traveling NBA and NFL teams. I have worked and attended 6 NCAA Final Four Championships as well.
