I began working for the YWCA of Columbus in May of 2017 at a time when I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life or where I wanted to go. Throughout the years I advanced my skills, learned new traits that would help me be successful, and was able to network with so many individuals and by doing so, I have had three promotions and four different job titles for the YWCA. With the YWCA I truly feel that I have found my career home and my work family which is something I have always strived for. The company has not only helped me grow into a successful adult but has also given me the amazing opportunities to showcase my skills, be recognized for my hard work, and given me the recognition that I worked hard for. I have volunteered for Women of Achievement and Activist's and Agitators, I was part of the Leadership for Social Justice program for 2018-2019, I assisted the Marketing team with website edits and photos for Kids Place locations, I was Employee of the Year for 2019, and I won first place in the Kids Place Director Entrepreneurship Pitch Competition.
