Business France helps businesses to find commercial partners in targeted markets, paving the way for SMB and mid-size companies to sign trading agreements and generate sustainable export growth.My assignment within Business France New York was to provide a complete HR solution – the VIE program (Volontariat International en Entreprise / French International Postgraduate Internship Program) – for French companies to support their international development in the United States and Canada.The VIE program allows companies to easily recruit high-profile young professionals from Europe. It is entirely flexible and comes with many financial advantages which explain its great success: there are currently 8200 VIEs assigned in 1800 companies worldwide. Moreover, the US is the 1st destination with more than 1000 VIEs currently assigned.In this way, my daily missions were:• Prospecting new companies through the intern database of BF and external sources (intranet, event participations, trade commissions…). • Visiting trade shows to find potential customers (“Best of France” on Times Square, “Med StartUp” in Manhattan…).• Organizing VIE promotion events in partnership with the French American Chamber of Commerce (FACC) and Business Frances American’s offices.• Helping French Businesses to find “Hosting Companies” in the US to host their volunteers.• Supporting the VIE Canadian’s team.• Managing LinkedIn network.• Producing regular figures and communication reports for internal purposes through KPI (CEO monitoring) and external purposes (French Ambassador, Consul and customer presentations).• Managing the VIE club and its activities (events, find partnerships).• Answering the VIE candidates’ requests during their mission (VISA, business trip…).
