The AME controls group is partially responsible for the purchase and installation of all incoming machinery, especially from an electrical controls point of view. The AME controls group is responsible for appliance park electrical standards creation and enforcement on any incoming machinery. The AME controls group also directly assist the plant floor with controls issues that may arise on a day to day basis.

Responsible to the Engineering Manager for the design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of electronic apparatus, components or circuitry for use in electronic equipment and devices produced by Flow. Also responsible for analyzing equipment, establishing operation data and conduct experimental tests. Working most heavily on the implementation of Flow International Corporation’s Siemens/Fanuc CNC controlled 11 Axis Water jet Cutting Machines called Composite Machining centers.

Responsible to the plant manager for all supervisory and production activities for the vehicle molding/PVC department. Direct Supervision of over 45 associates. As an Electrical maintenance engineer I was responsible for plant electrical installation needs, production machinery support, and PLC trouble shooting.

Responsible for the Commissioning and Troubleshooting of on sight automation projects using Modicon PLC programs and wire diagrams. Working mostly on the UPS expansion project “HUB 2000” Posi-sorters.
