Body and Chassis Division

• Provides leadership and direction for all members of the Quality Assurance Department and coordinates the team’s efforts with other support areas. Responsible for staff of 17 people.• Act as Autocom’s TS16949 Management Representative: Champion, Implement, and Communicate Quality Systems based on the Customer’s Quality Standards.• Responsible for implementing the company Quality Policy and Objectives while also playing a key role in developing these policies and objectives.• Follow positive employee relations: hiring, training, career development, disciplinary action and conducting regular and timely performance appraisals.• Report out Quality Assurance Department related plant metrics to Senior Management in monthly Management Review Meetings.• Regularly conducts process and product audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports and determine proper corrective and preventive actions.• Responds immediately to customer inquiries/concerns in order to build good working relationships with all customers.• Evaluates the design of new products for gauging/testing.Powertrain Division - Transmission Component Manufacturing

• Lead Quality Engineer and responsible for completion of all Quality Related tasks in the launch of the Ford P415 Automated Running Board Program as well as GMT967, GMX322 Door Frame Assembly programs.• Utilized Six Sigma Methodology in completion of continuous improvement projects.• Co-ordinated regular warranty review activities with the Engineering Department.• Led cross-functional team corrective action meetings to resolve customer concerns.• Conducted regularly scheduled error proofing and control plan audits.• Responsible for conducting Measurement System Analysis Studies in validating newly procured equipment.• Responsible for conducting capability studies to validate process capability.Magna Exteriors Division

• Supervise all members of the Quality Assurance Department with the exception of the Quality Manager (5 Quality Engineers, 1 Supplier Quality Engineer, 1 Gage Technician, and 6 Quality Technicians.• Institute systems and procedures and ensure their conformance (TS-16949 implementation).• Interact with Manufacturing Engineering and Production Personnel on day-to-day activities.• Coordinate and monitor first-off, in-process inspections in the Quality Lab and interact with technical support representatives to make necessary machining adjustments to ensure customer requirements are being adhered to.• Aid in the training and development of all Quality Assurance Personnel.• Review and evaluate the performance of all Quality Assurance Personnel on an annual basis. • Participate in analysis/review of customer returns.• Member of the Quality Systems Audit Team at Linamar Performance Centre and active participant in monthly quality systems audits.• Lead daily Fast Response Meetings (GM Quality Systems Basics Requirement) with Production, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance and Materials departments.Powertrain Division - Engine Component Manufacturing

• Visit suppliers to conduct supplier PPAP reviews as well as supplier run @ rates. • Lead person responsible for Comtech Manufacturing to receive IMDS (International Material Data System) approval on seven different General Motors program launches. Without this requirement, full PPAP approval cannot be granted.• Receive and review, along with quality personnel, supplier PPAP submission, require documentation and approve or reject as required.• Develop and monitor supplier action items list for use in APQP meetings/conference calls to ensure suppliers close issues in a timely manner, and do not jeopardize program milestones.• Assist in the maintenance and improvement of the Supplier Performance Monitoring system. Responsible for issuing quarterly supplier scorecards for over 80 different suppliers encompassing 12 different programs for General Motors and the Ford Motor Company.• Interface with suppliers of raw material to resolve chronic or acute quality or delivery problems.• Develop and maintain a schedule to track suppliers’ progress towards ISO/TS16949:2002 registration.• Co ordinate and oversee all internal supplier related sorting activities after obtaining authorization from the supplier.Powertrain Division - Engine Component Manufacturing

• Supervised two quality technicians and two student interns in performing the following quality functions: Gage calibration, Engine Quality Audits, Millipore Cleanliness Inspections, In-process Inspections, Finished goods audits (dock audits on cylinder heads/engines), sim test results monitoring, leak test results monitoring • Provided dimensional analysis support to Engineering and Operations departments.• Generated monthly on time calibration reports, as well as product audit monthly reports (plan vs. actual audit performed). • Managed the company’s scrap management system. Generated monthly report showcasing the following information: scrap percentage by engine displacement, machining scrap fallout rate for machined components, top 3 failures, total monthly scrap.• Performed evaluations on quality technicians and student interns.Cummins Powertrain Division - Engine Manufacturing

• Supported New Product Introduction process. Lead representative of Quality Assurance Department in cross-functional team involved in launching Subaru, Daimler-Chrysler, and Saturn product. Actively assisted product-engineering department with PPAP submissions. • Designed, sourced and implemented gauging, tooling fixtures and equipment used in the remanufacture of products for customers such as Daimler Chrysler, Ford, Saturn, Subaru, Mitsubishi and Volkswagen.• Senior CMM programmer at Cummins Original Equipment Remanufacturing. Trained two people in CMM programming.• Responsible for updating existing and developing original control plans during launch of SUBARU remanufactured engines.• Provided cost analysis justification for capital investment of machinery (RFA) ranging as high as $250,000 USD.• Responsible for developing gaging instructions and training operators on gage use when new gaging is deployed on production lines.• Conducted process and machine capability studies, gauge R&R studies.Cummins Powertrain Division - Engine Manufacturing
