OSP - Project Manager - Engineering and Managing Fiber Optic Projects in Florida, South Alabama, South Georgia.

Responsible for multiple system upgrade projects in a two state area Indiana & Illinois. After the purchase of 23 systems, the plant had to be tied together with a Fiber Optic Inter Connect Ring then upgraded to a fully interactive 750mhz system for HDTV, Voip, & Internet services.

Responsible for corporate tracking of capital projects in 10 southern states. Managed all budgeting and project spending, while coordinating divisional accounting and senior management performance reporting. Coordinated the approval and tracking process on new projects and monitored all purchase orders providing final invoice approval for corporate engineering department. Managed capital budget is excess of $11 million. Accountable for all supervision of Cebridge National Warehouse facility consisting of $ 5 million of parts inventory for the 10 state service areas.

Managed department consisting of 8 direct reports and 50 hourly employees. Estimated annual revenue responsibility was $ 7 million. Responsible for complete field office operations for Verizon, South Western Bell, Reliant Energy, El Paso Global Network, Metro Media Fiber Networks, Adelphia customer base. Developed new business relationships with AT&T, TXU, COX, Charter, and other MSO Cable operators. Oversaw projects in Houston, Conroe, Baytown, League City, and surrounding counties. Key projects were Aerial & UG construction/deployment of cable, telephone, and data systems consisting of coax, copper, and fiber technologies. Area office was the Single Source Provider (SSP) for Verizon serving all its OSP Construction.

Responsible for all operations in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, and Texas supporting Southwestern Bell Video/Telephone customers, AT&T, Time Warner, TCI, COX, Charter, and other MSO Cable operators. Complete project oversight in Houston, Conroe, Austin, Kansas City, Little Rock/Conway, and St. Louis markets. Major Projects were Aerial & UG construction of cable, telephone, and data systems consisting of coaxial, copper and fiber technologies. Deployed local market project managers to oversee the daily operations, establish local offices and implement procedures. Accountable for growing the business by negotiating with new customers and establishing new contracts in all markets. Overall revenue generated over three years of $ 4.7 million

Managed complete rebuilding of cable network for service areas and four complete franchise upgrades to Fiber Optics capabilities, utilizing innovative fiber backbone design. Planned and facilitated system growth of the operations department by deployment of new plant net mileage of 80 to 110 miles per year growing new subscribers from 6,500 to 18,000. Implemented processes that reduced plant maintenance backlogs in temps, referrals and apt. maintenance. Implemented first RSS subdivision to offer integrated cable, phone and security to subscribers. Engineered and deployed the first Maintenance Mini Hub in this Division; Oversaw the land purchase, hiring of a general contractor for site preparation, design layout of the hub, shipment /delivery operations and final activation. Supervised all operations for New Build, Multi-Family, Normal Upgrades, Service Reroutes, Repair & Maintenance Construction, including complete database implementation support for the Houston Division. Accountable for 28 in-house employees and 60+ contractors. Responsibilities included management of all capital budget ($10 million) finance, forecasting, personnel and business operations approximating $2 million of expense annually.Responsible for four departments: Design, Construction Operations, Central Warehouse and Electronic Repair Center. Supervisor domain over 27 in-house employees and 50 contractors. Responsibilities were budgeting, finance, forecasting and personnel. Combined operating budget responsibility exceeded $ 6 million annually.
