Key Objective was to manage the digitisation of nominated physical records into the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages production system. The project entailed the conversion of 25,000 volumes of physical records plus numerous boxes of loose documents over 3 years into electronic images and metadata. An additional 1 year extension delivered over 11 million images, 2.5 million transcribed records within a $10+ million budget, within schedule and quality that exceeded contractual obligations.Major points of this project included:- Secure transportation and management of physical documents and electronic data (confidentiality agreements, vehicle and network security, data management) to/from supplier.- Development of Business rules to interpret birth, death and marriage documents from as early as 1859 to recent times. - Development of technical standards for imaging and definition of XML data structures.- Manage the integration of images and metadata back into daily operational processes for current and future eBusiness processes.- Training of Supplier staff in document handling and RBDM staff in supplier's systems.- Management of contract, QA of returned images and data, progress payments, etc- Secure disposal of digitised records as per Records Act e.g. to State Archives.

Key objective of this role was to act as a troubleshooter, assist business users with problems, manage a variety of projects, and mentor other project managers.
