Consulted to various Telecom carriers towards developing SD-WAN , IoT (Internet of Things), 5G, fibre infrastructures and the related reciprocal partnership deals required for success. Cloud, SD-WAN/NFV combined with new wireless technologies such as IoT represent a new and disruptive change in the telecom carrier business; proper implementation and time to market is quickly going to become critical to future of the business.Consulted to various board directors and senior management towards the goal of developing and deploying a smart grid communications infrastructure as well as Smart meter AMI initiatives. I have also worked with other various telecom carriers regarding their IOT, data centre and smart city strategies.Engagement with financial services entity regarding development of cloud, SDN and data centre network architectures.

Early Pioneer in the area of Smart Grid Technologies. Strategy, design and implementation of the Hydro One Smart Grid and AMI initiative. Subject Matter Expert in wired and wireless communications infrastructure. Early promoter of WiMax/LTE technologies as it pertains to Smart Grid. Interfaced with regulatory, related government agencies as well as other national Utilities regarding the succesful aquisition of wireless spectrum. Interfaced with both international and domestic electric utilities in order to collaborate on Smart Grid telecommunications vision. Served as member of electricity industry technical advisory board relating to telecommunications/IT/OT requirements for the electric utility business; the purpose of this engagement promoting grid modernization across the industry.

Hydro One Telecom is an unregulated division of Hydro One Networks Inc that leverages existing telecom fibre and tower assets by creating wholesale and retail partnerships . While in this position my responsibilities included overall network development, project management, budget, design and implementation of all fibre and wireless network assets as well as Operational Support Systems (OSS). Other duties included the construction and maintenance of an extensive DWDM fiber network, the first commercial utility MPLS network in Canada, as well as carrier reciprocal deals and cross border interfaces to non domestic carriers.

During my tenure at fONOROLA, I was responsible for the supervision, technical design and implementation of a $600 million long haul fiber optic trans-Canadian/U.S.A network in conjunction with major railroad rights of ways providers, equipment vendors and construction entities.•I held this position until the company was acquired by Callnet Enterprises in June of 1998. Callnet enterprises purchased fONOROLA for $1.82 Billion Cdn which represented a shareholder return of 54% compounded annually over the life of the company•The responsibilities of this position included among other duties, Business development, overall supervision of the engineering design, implementation, operation and maintenance of a coast to coast fibre optic network in Canada. This network stretched 12,000 km’s in total from Vancouver to Quebec City in Canada as well as the northern United States from Seattle to Chicago, Detroit and New York. This network also served as the transcontinental communications backbone for various national and international telecom carriers. Other users of this network grew to include both Canadian national railway systems.•Other duties included but were not limited to the supervision of over 100+ internal engineering and network operations staff, all network operations, equipment evaluations, carrier negotiations (domestic and Int'l) and related budgets

Senior Network Engineer•Responsible for the design and development of large and complex private corporate networks. These large corporate networks included but were not limited to domestic and international voice and data network designs for the big three North American automotive manufacturers. In this role, I also was very involved in the first consultations to an emerging deregulated carrier market. Network design. technical business development and consulting for new wholesale/retail market entrants during the early years of telecom deregulation in North America.
