DRIFIRE, LLC is a textile/safety products company specializing in comfortable FR (fire resistant) wear to both the military and commercial markets. Primarily owned by the investment group Sterling Partners, DRIFIRE, LLC has shown excellent growth since its start-up in the fall of 2007. Product lines have expanded from an initial offering of only base layer undergarments to now include military flight suits and combat ensembles. Earlier in 2011, management decided to relocate operational headquarters from Columbus, GA to Chicago, IL. That move was accomplished in October, 2011. My primary responsibilities changed considerably as the business grew. Initial responsibilities included immediate functional implementation of SAP Business One as our ERP system while serving as the hands on person for the accounting, receivable, and payable functions. As the Company grew, my hands on responsibilities were replaced with more supervisory responsibilities in those areas. Additional financial responsibilities included management of daily bank transactions and borrowings, weekly cash flow analysis, customer credit reviews and recommendations, variance analysis, product costing, and enforcement of key administrative procedures. Other administrative responsibilities included supporting Supply Chain with daily interaction/data, serving as the primary point of contact for audits performed by both the CPA firm and the Bank, direct supervision of the Customer Service function, and implementation of best practices in all areas of the company.

Bradley Direct was a holding of the W. C. Bradley Co. Additional companies owned by the W. C. Bradley Co. included Char-Broil (a leading manufacturer of propane gas grills), Zebco (a well-known rod and reel manufacturer/importer) and Lamplight Farms (a manufacturer of oil lamps). Bradley Direct derived its revenue from the sale of items thru the Grill Lover's catalog and Grill Lover’s web site and from third party fulfillment services to a variety of clients (both Call Center and Warehouse distribution).My primary responsibilities included direct supervision of the accounting, receivable, and payable functions. Primary financial responsibilities included profitability, cash flow, accounting, product and services costing, budgeting, forecasting, and administrative procedures. Other administrative responsibilities included supporting operations management with daily results and input, supporting the catalog and web staff with statistical analysis and guidance, and supporting third party fulfillment clients with integration efforts and ongoing support. A final responsibility was to provide leadership and guidance as we installed “lean principles” in a distribution and administrative environment.

Primary financial responsibilities included profitability, cash flow, accounting, costing, forecasting, systems, and procedures. Other administrative duties included coordinating legal activities, performing all functions associated with human resources, managing a distribution center, and supervising purchasing activities.

A Fortune 500 company, WestPoint Stevens, Inc. was recognized as one of the top firms in the textile industry.My primary responsibility was to supervise financial and operational audits performed by the audit staff. Other responsibilities included assisting Ernst & Young during year-end audit procedures and the performance of special projects for Senior Management generally involving profitability concerns, operational problems, health care costs, acquisitions and divestments. In addition, I was tasked with researching unusual manufacturing variances and inventory adjustments.
