I am a self taught bookkeeper ( 16yrs ), having worked as a self employed bookkeeper for the past 16 years, previously I was employed by 3 combined Limited Companies in St.Ives, I left this position to go self-employed, returning to this company a few years later on request by the MD on a self-employed basis after the current bookkeeper left. Most of my self employment has been via recommendations from Accountants whom have worked with me. I have dealt with VAT and PAYE but do not specialize in Payroll.I have been to Brussels after completing an EU Funding Accounting Course, including Audit Proofing for H2020. Worked 5 years with a VR Company on EU funded Projects in Newmarket using GBP & Euros, also did a brief accounts roll in The Strand, London. Currently in my 16th year working as a accounts manager 2 days per week for a Medical Clinic in Huntingdon, an Auto Part Specialist (Land Rover) quarterly VAT accounting in Wimblington 5Yrs+ dealing with Margin Sales, monthly roll with an Auto Part Specialist using MAM software in Peterborough(in 8th yr)So I get around all over the place.Always willing to improve and learn new accounting systems, challenging my abilities and knowledge.I am not perfect but try my best to give 100% in everything I do. Currently fully competent using Xero. I'd like to think I am feisty but fair, am yet to find any set of accounts I can't do. I believe I have a friendly approachable manner, and very professional at all times with strict confidentiality at all times. I am dyslexic but this has never stopped me being successful and competent at my role. I have an engineering background but no longer pursue this. Originally from Stevenage I now reside in Cambridgeshire with ,my partner and 14 year old son.
