Willena has spent almost two decades working with community-based initiatives to improve the quality of life for underserved New York and New Jersey communities. Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity to build a comprehensive skill set in marketing, donor relations, grant writing, strategic planning, project management, and program operations, and she is a noted people leader. Willena has worked with many organizations, including Friends of Crown Heights, City Harvest, Institute of Entrepreneurial Leadership, Harlem Children Zone, and many public schools.She also has certificates in Executive Non-Profit Leadership from Columbia University Business School. Willena enjoys spending time with her daughter and dog, Jonny, when she is not working. Willena is passionate about supporting the socio-economic development ecosystem in all its nuisances for underserved communities and has built a portfolio of hard and soft skills to lend impactfully to any initiative.
