Responsible for overall production of newscasts. Manage producers, reporters, anchors, photographers, editors, & desk assistants. I copy edit all scripts from producers & reporters. Write & produce news packages for broadcast & social media. Focus & write on air promotions. Project Manager for various specials like elections, town halls, telethons, & health fairs. Maintain administrative duties for the newsroom, including schedules, time cards, contract renewals, newsroom credit cards, travel, & expenses. Responsible for hiring producers & guiding their careers with performance reviews.

Throughout my career at WBAL, I selected, wrote and assembled a blend of stories in a compelling, interesting and newsworthy way for broadcast in various day parts. There is a high stress level associated with this position because of the nature of “live” broadcasts and the elements of change that are faced every day, every hour. I also produced a long from broadcast, "11 News Journal." I obtained my position at this station through my previous work here as a college intern.

Selected, developed, and planned reporting assignments to be covered by reporters. Sifted through hundreds of news releases a day to help manage future coverage. Fielded calls from the public about various news tips or story ideas. I also actively listened to police scanners to track communications between 911 dispatchers and police officers in the field. Contacted various public information officers about different news events and assignments.

As a producer, I was responsible for several morning shows in my career, including Sonny Andre & Monique, The Tim Watts Morning Show, and Randy Dennis in the Morning. I was responsible for organizing music choices, guests, callers for competitions, timing, and overall show content. I also produced recorded content from shows to radio commercials and commercial bumpers. As part of my duties, I worked as a board operator which put me in charge of operating technical controls (sound volume levels, recording software, switchboard, etc.) for the on-air talent. I also worked as a weekend radio personality covering 4 hours of music content.
