Lena Gamboa is a Port Therapeutics at Port Therapeutics. She is proficient in Spanish. Colleagues describe her as "I've had the pleasure of working alongside Lena during our PhD studies at Georgia Tech, and I'm constantly impressed by her ability to grow and perform under pressure. I admire her ability to observe her peers/mentors and learn from their ideas, whether it be communication or scientific skills. In particular, Lena creates some of the most clean and effective paper figures and presentation slides that I've ever seen, which is why she excels at communicating her ideas to other scientists. Lena is also a highly skilled experimentalist, who has accomplished an impressive range of results during her PhD studies. She has proven that she can effectively manage a team of undergraduate researchers, even mentoring them on their own independent studies. What I admire most about Lena is her creativity and passion for new ideas. Some of my favorite conversations are when we discuss the possibilities surrounding an exciting new idea.
