About Lenard Sali
Lenard Sali is Counsel in BLG's Commercial Litigation Group in its Calgary office. Len has extensive experience and expertise in commercial, energy and securities litigation, as well as telecommunications law, oil & gas law, dispute resolution, and directors’ and officers’ liability. He is consistently recognized as a leading lawyer in several of these areas by the foremost legal rankings publications. Over the course of his long and distinguished career, Len has made numerous appearances before all levels of court including the Supreme Court of Canada and the Federal Court of Canada, and has acted as senior counsel in a number of leading cases. Len appears regularly before Alberta Courts, regulatory boards and tribunals, including the Energy Resources Conservation Board, and also has extensive experience representing foreign-based clients and seamlessly working with US counsel. Len was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1989, and is an appointed Fellow of both the American College of Trial Lawyers and Litigation Counsel of America, trial lawyer honorary societies. These fellowships are reserved for less than 1% of all practising lawyers of any state or province. Len is called to the bars of Alberta (1973), Manitoba (1972) and Saskatchewan (1968).
