    In 2006, IFS had 3500 employees in 45 countries (200 in Gothenburg, Sweden) and >500 000 users across the globe.IFS continued to grow and needed consultants primarily within HR, as well as project managers for upcoming ERP implementations. A recent reorganization had introduced a Scandinavian organization, which meant that IFS people needed to travel and work all over Scandinavia. Working with customers outside of Sweden meant that I had to master many more agreements (e.g. collective agreements) and job terms for different countries and different job categories. Back at IFS, I once again worked with customers across all industries and the entier IFS ERP system.Between 2006 and 2011, I: ►Planned and deployed ≈15 large and small (3-15 month) projects (including IFS application upgrades) with 2-20 IFS team members and customer project team members (most often matching or exceeding our number of team members). ►Created long-term customer relationships. Because I often planned, directed, and implemented IFS applications at the customer location and later acted as service manager for the same customers, I continued to have contact with the same clients for many years. ►Identified the need for a new integration based on a high-risk technical solution that had never before been created by IFS. The customer immediately accepted the change order that I carefully prepared and jointly presented with the customer's project manager to the steering committee. ►Proactively developed existing customers, initiated meetings, planned presale, demo, conducted feasibility studies and specification work, handled quotes, wrote service orders, and invoiced. ►Helmed an internal IFS improvement “Invoice facilitator”, a new modification that cut time spent billing and tracking 30%.

    I was recruited because of a growing interest in IFS’s human resources and payroll solutions, particularly from Sweden's municipalities. IFS wanted to invest in the public sector and needed to hire consultants / project managers with a background in payroll, human resources, document management and HR systems in the public sector. Initially, I was the only consultant in my team in Gothenburg with a background in operational and strategic HR / payroll issues. I was the only one with knowledge of agreements and their application (e.g. AB 90) in the public sector. Some of my effort included: ► Trainings for my colleagues on the democratic decision making process at policy-driven organizations, so they would have a better understanding of how decisions about how—for example—a budget / investment was executed in the public sector. ►Interfacing extensively with the sales organization and acting as application expert at demos for different customers. ►Guiding and educating customers as they developed and streamlined their HR processes. Customers consisted of HR/payroll experts. ►Planning and executing workshops for 10-30 people, including human resources, finance, administrative managers and experts; personnel and payroll administrators; politicians; trade union representatives; and others. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ I was involved in 7 major projects between 2001 and 2004 and orchestrated about 8 workshops/project, totaling≈50 workshops.

    I was hired because the organization lacked an "investigator" to drive and project manage strategic HR issues in close cooperation with business unit managers and trade union organizations as they developed HR policies, guidelines, and procedures. I supported ≈20 line managers operatively and managed all HR responsibilities, including:- recruitment, relocation, discipline cases, rehabilitation, and investigations, etc. Achievements (select): ►Developed HR strategic policies. ►Established HR processes and guidelines, including clarifying roles and responsibilities for managers and employees according to ISO 20000 standards. ►Streamlined HR processes (which freed up time for the HR department to spend more time on strategic issues) by co-creating a pioneering digital HR guide for managers and employees. This system was later ‘used’ by other administrative organizations. It included: - a common recruitment system for managers and the HR department. ► Established the company’s first salary and compensation survey, which was executed systematically in an organization with 300 blue and white collar employees and managers. This survey was later used as a benchmark when negotiating salaries with the unions. ► Created an efficient salary process with flexible working hours for blue collar workers.► Developed the first document management plan, explaining how to handle public documentation, how and where to save the documents.
