A research trip to explore the Kenyan startup ecosystem with a focus on innovative business models that integrating technology to tackle problems in waste management and agriculture: 14 start-ups, 3 coworking spaces, the UN-Habitat, the Danish Embassy, 7 interviews, 3 networking events, and 3 accelerator programs in 14 days. In Kenya problems are called challenges, and faces light up when the conversation turns to tackling issues like waste disposal, poverty, and water. That's what I learned by listening to stories and opinions about tech, the startup scene, personal destinies, and the future of Kenya.
