I work as a student job with Silver Tie. In my role as a waiter, I ensure that people are able to enjoy the event to the fullest. Teamwork is important to make sure the food is on the table warm and there is clear communication between the catering and us interim servers.

I work with DHZ Safti as student job as a cashier. I am responsible for handling my cash register, ringing up customer items and responding to their questions. I do the opening count and close the register at the end of the day. During low hours I assist elsewhere in the store from time to time. These tasks are very diverse like checking inventory, making orders or stocking shelves.

For my internship, I worked together with Prof. Glenn Rayp to do preparation work for an upcoming study called “PLANET BRUSSELS - The Brussels effect and the planetary boundaries: responsible value chains or entangled couplings?” The goal of this study is to analyze the EU sustainability strategies. Part of this study is to analyze the supply chain. My role was to look at the relevant policy, make a code list and a descriptive statistics report.

I worked as a waiter at De Foute Peper, a restaurant in Flanders. I greeted guest, led them to their table and took their orders. When the food was prepared, I made sure that each guest had their dish and made the bill when they were ready for it. Some days I was in charge of the bar where I made different types of coffees, cocktails as well as tapping beer. I worked here each weekend for a year afterwards I moved to Canada for an exchange year.
