Functional scala programming, I worked on a distributed microservices application using Akka, MSSQL and Kafka. Due to the covid-19 pandemic, I resigned and returned to Europe.

Successfully delivered a GDPR compliant customer portal application (my.enovos.lu) handling SAP data and an oAuth2 authentication server. The application was built using scrum and agile project management in a cloud based devops environment using a microservices, shared-nothing architecture. The technologies used were Ansible, Ubuntu, nginx, pm2, Cassandra, Spark and Scala, React, Ramda and Redux, and node.js based REST applications. I combined agile methods with the Google sprint concept and ad-hoc usability testing sessions to deliver several other business applications based on 12 factor architecture principals using a mix of ExoScale and AWS cloud services.

As an Information Architect I was managing a team of developers and designers, and have worked with several large and small companies using agile project planning. I have worked on requirements gathering for front-end architecture and UI definitions, on release management and build automation, as well as data mining and LEMP stack applications using AWS cloud services (EC2, ELB, SES, S3, RDS). Responsible for the corporate websites and the CMS Umbraco solution built to manage the portfolio of Eurofins' websites (then running 40 websites, 10000+ pages, 100 editors). As project manager I take care of the software life cycle of the CMS (requirements gathering, prioritising tasks and release planning, quality control processes). I travelled across Europe to meet stakeholders to gather requirements and lead workshops and trainings. I managed a DNS portfolio of over 300 domain names and over 150 websites in Europe, Asia and the US. I worked as a Helpdesk-Agent Coordinator writing for, and maintaining theknowledge-base (KB). I supported the IT infrastructure of 7 companies (Ernst & Young,Nederlands Spoorwegen, Vedior, etc.) in 3 languages: Dutch, French andEnglish. Besides my main job, I started a usability analyses of the KB andproposed several changes to the structure and code of the website. Theseproposals were implemented into the template and distributed into severalinternational versions of the KB.
