The 6 mill EUR and EC granted, EOSC-Nordic project aims to facilitate the coordination of EOSC relevant initiatives within the Nordic and Baltic countries and exploit synergies to achieve greater harmonisation at policy and service provisioning across these countries, in compliance with EOSC agreed standards and practices. By doing so, the project seeks to establish the Nordic and Baltic countries as frontrunners in the take-up of the EOSC concept, principles and approach. Lene Krøl Andersen is Head of DeIC eScience Center in Denmark. She has a research background and a PhD within natural sciences alongside her MBA degree. Lene Krøl Andersen has lead the establishment of the national eScience Center, which guides the Danish researchers to both local and national eScience resources, contact points, organisational eScience support, access support to supercomputing facilities, competence building etc. The Danish eScience landscape mirrors self-developing communities of principles and practice deploying ICT tooling, software and e-infrastructures, which indeed challenges the speed of new discoveries. DeIC eScience Center is a national platform for all eScience parties to share expertise, best practices and challenges, hence creating cross fertilisation over disciplines, i.e. a crucial eScience collaboration platform bridging the various and differentiated eScience Communities across universities throughout the country. The staffing of DeIC eScience Center support and collaborate with the Danish eScience communities in order to enhance their integration of tools and competences benefitting from both national and international resource opportunitets. The Infrastructure Advisory Group (INFRAG) is the second Advisory Group of the Industrial and Scientific Advisory Board. It is composed of no more than 12 members appointed by the Governing Board.
