Helsim is a private company providing services to hospitals in Scandinavia. Our mission is to improve patient flow and resource utilization through the application of computer simulation and problem structuring methods. Using state-of-the-art tools, we model patient flow processes and test "what if..."-scenarios. The job as a Strategic Account Manager at AbbVie involved a combination of in-office health economic analysis and in-field presentations at Norwegian hospitals.

My PhD thesis focused on the combined use of Soft Systems Methodology and Discrete Event Simulation modelling in order to improve patient flow and resource utilisation at Akershus University Hospital.Please refer to Publications for details

Through my position as a health economist with PharmEcon AS, I developed my interest in health economics, pharmacoeconomics, health politics, and modelling. The main part of my work involved pharmacoeconomic analyses, reimbursement applications and development of health economic- and budget impact models for the pharmaceutical industry.
