The mission of Generation O is to support the parents and caregivers of these children through education, resources and community. We provide information and scientific research, in plain English, about the long term outcomes of prenatal opioid exposure.Prenatal exposure to opioids can change the structure and function of the developing fetal brain. Many times this leads to long term health problems including hearing and vision issues, learning and behavioral challenges, speech and language deficits, sleep interruptions and neuromuscular diagnoses.Generation O has not been given the voice or support they need. Parents and caregivers of these children find it difficult to know what to expect and where to go for support. We aim to help this population while raising their profile in the world.
