Conducted and document daily Quality audits on compliance process to assure to my company managements and customers that our flexible packaging materials are performing within specification to deliver a quality product on time on my shift. On top of my regular job duties, I was leading a reoccurring meeting every two weeks to address the items on QA hold. These meetings involved key stakeholders in the Sales, Accounting, Inventory, Shipping and Receiving, Production, Quality, and Customer Service Department to help drive efficient decisions on whether to rework, recycle, or scrap the QA hold materials/products. QA hold is materials/products that were put on hold for defected, damaged, or unusable issues. Having these meetings, I've helped the Quality Department be aware of current issues on materials/products so that It just does not sit on the racks overtime and helped reduce aged material.

Operated a high-speed, wide-web, slitter/re-winder to produce a quality flexible packaging materials on time in accordance with specific work instructions and applicable safety and quality control procedures. Ran a slitting machine with laser score capacity. I scored an "easy-open/easy-tear" line onto the material so that when it gets converted into a flexible packaging bag the product bag would be easy to open and most cost effective. Worked proactively and with a sense of urgency to facilitate systematic, timely approvals, and start-ups on my slitter to make sure the customer is getting a quality product on time. And making sure I am staying ahead to help save money for my company or staying within the budget planned.
