Lenin was employed as a Finance Officer with Ajilon, a leading information technology consulting company. Initially recruited as a timesheet administrator, he broadened his responsibilities and gained responsibility for all invoicing throughout the resources and government sectors. Lenin was employed as a tax accountant handling a small portfolio of clients and was extremely fortunate to be given the responsibility to interact with his clients. During this role he came to successfully manage the interests of a wide variety of clients with differing needs.Key Responsibilities• Preparation of periodical taxation requirements. This entailed quarterly activity statement reporting as well as the annual completion of tax returns for a wide variety of clients. These clients ranged from a simple individual tax return to small business. A large portion of my clients were farmers, but I also represented many different clients such as fisherman, property investors and entrepreneurs. • Preparations of financial statements for these same clients. These statements were prepared ensuring that all relevant Australian accounting standards were satisfied.• General Taxation Advice/Consulting. Many clients would seek advice over a variety of matters which could range from a simple tax question to lengthy tax effect advice. This also included business consulting and short term financial planning.• Small business bookkeeping. One of my more unusual roles saw me involved in the day to day running of a client’s kebab shop which was suffering from poor cash flow and creditor control.
