ReceptionistBest Location Apartment Mar 2019 - Jan 2020I applied for a job at the reception which included various tasks and new things to learn, such as: -welcoming our guests and helping them check in easily, providing them with keys to their apartments and all needed information to enjoy their stay to the maximum -check-out was not just about collecting keys, I ordered a lot of taxi's for the guests; there were a lot of times when I needed to knock on guests door asking them to leave the room long after the check-out… Show more I applied for a job at the reception which included various tasks and new things to learn, such as: -welcoming our guests and helping them check in easily, providing them with keys to their apartments and all needed information to enjoy their stay to the maximum -check-out was not just about collecting keys, I ordered a lot of taxi's for the guests; there were a lot of times when I needed to knock on guests door asking them to leave the room long after the check-out time-cash handling- often people would pay for their reservation at the reception or just want to buy an extra service or leave a deposit when making a reservation last minute, therefore I worked with money a lot -communication with the guests on Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia, regular email and of course telephone communication while making all kinds of different orders for the hotel or setting up meetings-making invoices was on a daily schedule, mostly in our hotel reservation system but also helping the manager with some other types of invoices sometimes-from time to time someone's TV or even a toilet would stop working and I was there to fix that too -most of the time people like to leave their luggage for us to store until the check-in or after the check-out so I was kind of a bellboy as well, carrying all the luggage to another floor At the reception, I worked day shifts (working time 7:00-19:00, 10:00-14:00) and night shifts (19:00-24:00, 19:00-7:00).Later on I was given the opportunity to manage Best Location's Instagram and Facebook. I also got to work on the look and content of our website which was being built from the scratch by me and the webmaster who was there for the technical issues. Show less
