Endeavor Robotics was formed from iRobot's divested Defense and Security business. At Endeavor Robotics, I have continued adding exciting new features to the Android tablet robot operator control unit (OCU) as well as integrating new robots. I have also worked on a web based front end multi-company common robot controller that utilizes the IOP protocol standard for robot communication. All robots supporting this IOP protocol standard, regardless of company and type of robot, are capable of being discovered and controlled by this common controller.

iRobot has several robots that are part of their Defense & Security line of robots. Previously, each robot had it's own proprietary controller. My work at iRobot has been to both modernize and unify the robot controller developing the uPoint Multi-Robot Controller. The single, multi-robot controller is an Android tablet application capable of discovering, controlling, and observing all of iRobot's family of robots on a given robot network. Driving the robot is made simple by dragging your finger on the screen while watching the video feed sent from the robot. Specialized features such as hazmat integration support showing and alarming sensor data reported by a CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear) equipped robot.
