Theoretical Physicist | Machine Learning Researcher | Co-founder of SerenaI studied theoretical physics, specializing in classical and quantum gravity for my PhD. My academic journey has been fueled by a curiosity to understand the fundamental nature of the universe and it was a fascinating time for me. Throughout my doctoral studies, I have explored asymptotic symmetries in general relativity as well as their deformations as a possible route to better understand quantum gravity. I have also worked on issues concerning black hole entropy and the information loss paradox.During my PhD, I discovered a fascination for deep learning and driven by this newfound interest, I now seek to apply the skills I have gained during my studies to cutting-edge AI research.As a post-doctoral researcher, I've merged my theoretical background with the more pragmatic realm of medical imaging analysis. My focus has been on crafting performant and transparent deep learning models. My goal is to illuminate the inner workings of these models, fostering trust and interpretability within the medical community.My passion for AI has also led me beyond academia. Together with visionary colleagues, I co-founded Serena—an innovative venture that harnesses the power of large language models to provide emotional support through empathetic conversations. At Serena, we work on a technology that acts as a genuine companion for the user, offering unwavering support without judgment.
