Lennart is co-founder of Combinostics Oy and held the role as CEO until May 31, 2021 and back in this role from May 2023. Combinostics was founded in 2014 with a mission to combine analytics and data to enable physicians to make confident and evidence-based medical decisions in complex diseases.

Appointed as adjunct professor (20%). Main focus is to support research projects in PET, imaging biomarkers in Alzheimer's and medical image processing in general.

I led a team working with image processing and software development. Responsible for PET Neurology SW roadmap and product development. Team include researchers and software developers in Uppsala, US and Bangalore, India. Continued working with research focusing on biomarkers in Alzheimer’s disease. Have participated in several EU projects focusing on biomakers in neurology.

Held the position as Managing Director of Uppsala Imanet 7/2009 – 11/2010. Led all the work at the Imanet PET centre and was responsible for negotiations with Uppsala University and University Hospital around transfer of ownership of the PET centre from GEHC to the hospital. Held this position until the transfer of ownership was completed in Nov 2010.

Led a team that worked with development of PET brain quantification software for use in clinical trials. Performed reserach in the area of biomarkers in Alzheimer’s disease.

Built up the software department at Biotage. Led the development of software in systems in the area of medicinal chemistry.

Initially, as Vice President R&D, I led the work on the development of systems for surgery simulation. I was later appointed as interim CEO and worked with all aspects of management of the company (approximately 20 employees).

Responsibilities during this period:1. Program Director for VISIT, a national program in visual information technology funded by the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research.2. Led a small research group working with different aspects of segmentation, visualization and analysis of medical images.3. Teaching – responsible for courses in digital image processing and in advanced object oriented programming.

Post-doc position. Pursued research in the area of medical image registration and the use of brain atlases.

PhD student at Centre for Image Analysis, Uppsala University. Main research area was development of methods for quantitative analysis of neuroimaging data.

Developed hardware and software for radiation therapy systems and for Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scanners. Leave for studies 1986 - 1988
