Reach the Runway was the official nonprofit program of HONOLULU Fashion Week. Designed to inspire and support Hawaiʻi’s youth, the program created mentorship opportunities for Oʻahu middle school students who were interested in journalism, photography, fashion design, magazine design, hair and makeup, styling or modeling. In addition to expanding their technical skills in specific fields, the program developed students’ confidence, determination and passion for their future endeavors.

- Managed Special Advertising Sections in print editions of HONOLULU branded publications, and Custom Publications for advertising partners. This included developing content, writing, making story and photo assignments to freelancers, etc.- Ensured Special Advertising Sections consistently met budgeted objectives for profit margins, including freelance and vendor expenses.- Established project schedules for each Special Advertising Section and worked with the sales, editorial and design teams to ensure that project schedules were consistently met.- Ensured all Special Advertising Sections met the quality expectations for clients and sponsors, and were consistent with the HONOLULU brand including its related publications: HONOLULU SHOPS, HONOLULU FAMILY and Lei Chic.- Wrote regular posts for websites of all HONOLULU branded publications, including dining reviews for Biting Commentary, the HONOLULU Magazine dining blog. - Wrote sponsored e-newsletters for all HONOLULU branded publications and monitored the results to continuously improve sponsored online readership. - Styled models and products for photo shoots. - Contributed content for social media posts. - Assisted with writing promotional materials and sales sheets to meet the needs of the sales, marketing and event teams.
