Tim is a broadly experienced geoscientist with 15+ years’ experience in the mining and petroleum industry focused on mineral resources and the prospectivity of hydrocarbon basins. His specialties include geophysics, seismic processing and interpretation, 3-D structural modelling, resource and reserve calculations, site supervision, database management and computer programming.Tim has extensive expertise in sedimentary geology. His field exploration experience includes the Bowen, Surat and Galilee Basins in Queensland and the Moatize Basin in Mozambique. In addition to the energy sector, he has developed significant experience in hard rock deposits such as magnetite and copper as Exploration Manager in the Atacama Region, Chile. In addition, Tim has worked on exploration drilling for alluvial gold in New Zealand, field mapping of maar-diatreme volcanic pipes in Arizona and offshore surveying in the South Pacific.As a consultant Tim has developed a vast range of skills in the mining engineering discipline. This includes multi-mine pit optimisation, short term mine planning in South Australia along with Cost Modelling and Reserve Estimation in New Caledonia.Computer skills include a strong Unix and programming background with proficiency in seismic processing and interpretation, GIS software, database architecture and Vulcan 3D modelling software.
