About Lennox Morrison

Award-winning journalist who now guides the next generation. I teach on the BA (Hons) degree in multimedia journalism at Canterbury Christ Church University. Twice nominated for Golden Apple Award for 'exceptional teaching'. In 2024 I've designed and led workshops for MA in Media, Communications and PR and for Applied Humanities students. I’ve spent big chunks of my career abroad — as a Wall Street Journal columnist based in Paris and a reporter-presenter for Scottish Television in France, Germany and Portugal. But I also loved exploring Scotland as a columnist and celebrity interviewer for Scotland on Sunday. Most recently I wrote features and spotted content ideas for BBC.com.I’m the author of two novels published by Hachette and a short story published by Simon & Schuster. And I’ve been chair and speaker at literary festivals — Edinburgh International, Folkestone, Scottish Book Town.Award-winning translator of French and German.Always curious. Always OPEN to new opportunities . . .

My original stories for BBC.com and their worldwide audience of 101 million monthly are some of the most-shared ever content for BBC Worklife (formerly Capital) and BBC Britain. My specialist interest is communications skills — from the poor use of English by native speakers working internationally to the power of silence — and I write regularly for the BBC on this subject.
